Anti-library

The books you have not read yet are the most useful part of your library.

What it is

A good library is mostly books you haven’t read. Nassim Taleb calls it the anti-library: potential knowledge, waiting there for the day you need it. When someone walks into your house and asks “have you read all of these?”, they’re showing they misunderstand how knowledge works.

How it shows up for me

It took a weight off me. I used to feel guilty about unread books, saved articles and half-finished courses. Now I treat them as a pantry, not a debt.
