A few people become the source for everyone else’s ideas. A scientist publishes a study; others summarize it; far more people read the summaries than the paper. Most of what you consume comes from signal repeaters. They’re useful, because they widen what you’re aware of. But to get the truth and the core of an idea, go to the signal source.
Ask what inspired the people you learn from. Who are your role models’ role models?
