The belief
What good is all my power and strength if I don’t use it to love, to build things, to protect my family, to build things for my children, for my environment, and for myself?
Where it comes from
I said it at the end of a long, intense week of building, when I realized I was tired and happy at the same time. The energy had gone somewhere I was proud of.
How it shows up for me
I put myself last but first, always. Last in the sense that the people I love come before my comfort. First in the sense that if I don’t take care of myself, I have nothing left to give them.
The honest part: strength wants to be used, and sometimes I spend mine on being right instead of on building anything.
