What it is
PayPal first tried money transfers between PalmPilots, a big idea for a scattered audience. It took off when it focused on eBay’s PowerSellers, a small group of heavy users all in one place. Within three months it served a quarter of them. Peter Thiel’s lesson: the perfect first market is a small group of particular people, concentrated together, served by few or no competitors.
How it shows up for me
This site isn’t for everyone, and that’s fine. I’d rather write something really useful for a few people than something forgettable for many.
