Minimum idea alignment

A new idea does not need most people to love it. It just needs the opposition to be weaker than it is.

What it is

An idea doesn’t have to be adopted by the majority to be feasible. It just needs weak opposition. Every innovation, even low-tech ones, took real effort to spread. When there’s pushback, the idea has to be stronger than the consensus against it. Minimum alignment is required; mass acceptance isn’t.

How it shows up for me

At work, I stopped trying to convince everyone before starting. I find the few people who are open, build something small that works, and let it make the argument.
