What it is
An energy leak is where your power drains out in small ways: overexplaining, justifying, analyzing out loud, filling silence, answering questions nobody asked. Each one is small. Together they leave you spent and the other person tired.
Plugging the leak doesn’t mean going cold. It means saying the thing once, clearly, and trusting it to land.
How it shows up for me
In 2025 I wrote: “I do leak power by overexplaining. I’m able to pinpoint where I did it throughout my day with precision. In hindsight only.” The work since then has been catching it in the moment instead of at night.
