What it is
A negative blueprint is still a blueprint. A bad leader’s failures are concrete, observable and personal, and each time they take the easy route, they leave a precise lesson: don’t do that.
Most of those failures share one move: substituting something easy for something hard.
- Title instead of trust. Lesson: earn coordination rights before you need them.
- Output instead of review. Lesson: own your output completely.
- Activity instead of contribution. Lesson: make your work visible enough that optics can’t override it.
How it shows up for me
Some of my best management habits came from bosses I didn’t admire. It helped me stop just resenting them and start taking notes.
