What it is
Being fully where you are, with the person or the task in front of you, instead of halfway somewhere else.
How it shows up for me
The clearest example I have is brushing my daughter’s hair. For a long time it was a chore I tried to finish fast. When I started giving it my full attention, that hour became some of our best time together. Nothing about the task changed. I did.
I’m not present all the time. My phone, my head, and my to-do list all pull at me. Presence is how I practice Intimidad, one ordinary moment at a time.
