What it is
Entry cost is the price a person pays, in fear, effort or risk, before they can speak honestly to you. When it’s high, people manage what they say. You get polished, careful output, which is bad signal.
Lowering the entry cost isn’t softening your standards. It’s improving the quality of the information you get.
How it shows up for me
When I’m intense, people around me pay a high entry cost, and then I wonder why they didn’t tell me sooner. If I want the truth, I have to make it cheap to give me.
