The receiving block

Being able to give without limit, and struggling to take care, attention or help that is offered directly.

What it is

Some people can give endlessly and can barely receive. Care offered to them gets deflected, minimized, or turned into a task to repay. The ledger reopens the moment someone is kind.

It’s the other side of feeling unseen: being unseen hurts, and being seen gets refused too. Same block, two directions.

How it shows up for me

This is an observation about myself, not a tested fact. When someone does something kind for me, I notice the urge to immediately even the score. I’m practicing saying “thank you” and stopping there.
