Lead with confusion

Share the question you are wrestling with, not just the conclusion you reached.

What it is

When we’ve figured something out, we tend to preach it. What if you led with confusion instead of conclusions?

Instead of “obviously, boundaries are acts of love,” try: “something weird happened when I started setting boundaries. People got closer, not further away. I’m still trying to figure out why.”

How it shows up for me

When I look at my best writing, it’s never when I’m sharing answers. It’s when I’m wrestling with questions in real time. This is an experiment for me, not a settled practice. I still preach. I’m trying to catch it.
