What it is
An anchor is something in your life with enough weight to pull you out of the feed and into the present. It doesn’t have to be poetic or profound. It just has to be real: coffee, sunlight, a quiet moment, a person.
Once you recognize your anchor, fifteen minutes of doom-scrolling stops feeling like a habit and starts looking like a downgrade.
How it shows up for me
Mine is my kids in the morning. One morning my daughter came out practically vibrating with “let’s play,” and that’s the gravity I want my mornings to have: living creatures pulling me into the day, not a feed pulling me out of it.
